November 13−15, on the basis of our hotel company Arteks (official dealer of Land Rover in Russia) was held a Rally «Beyond Ordinary».

Just the rally was attended by about 20 teams from Moscow. Participants of the Rally on the «legend» got to the hotel, where we waited for all the travellers with a welcome dinner. «We have the most expensive Parking lot» laughed the hotel, bearing in mind that the number of Rovers, of all colors and stripes, parked side by side in the Parking lot.

After a short break, the participants visited the Iveron monastery near the town of Valdai, in the Valdai island, then returned to our hospitable walls. On the Promenade they organized a feast with homemade pilaf, pickles, pastries, tea from a samovar. A nice addition to the treats was the performance of the Studio orchestra of folk instruments from Novgorod, called «Mosaic». Band — winner of many Russian and foreign competitions and festivals. Takes mostly folklore, ballads, instrumental and modern music in the treatment, using several types of harmonicas, zhaleyka and other musical instruments.

The next day the happy owners of Land Rovers took part in the competition: showed driving skills at the time in the sand dunes, demonstrated their skills of driving on the roads and knowledge of its potential on a motocross track. Also, the participants of the Rally visited an abandoned military base of the strategic Missile forces. The winners of the day’s activities were awarded at the festive dinner in the restaurant of our hotel.

The next day, our guests allowed myself to relax and enjoy the incredible nature of Valdai, clean air, peace and tranquility, walk in the woods, feed the cow, which has not only asked guests to eat, but even started to abandon some treats.

We think many people didn’t want to go back. Some guests have been unable to force myself to get away from us and extended your stay for another day.
